Seattle's Piazza Perugia Dedication

If there was a bit more swagger and hand gestures and culture in the air today we can thank the Seattle-Perugia Sister City Association who dedicated Piazza Perugia today to the city of Seattle. It's a tiny but beautiful park just a block from Essential Bakery on Madison so if you're going to or from Lake Washington Blvd make the quick stop to enjoy this oasis in the city.

The hand painted ceramic tiles were made in Perugia, Italy, (in the Umbria region, also home of Caffe Umbria) and assembled here by an artist from Vashon Island. Several Italian dignitaries made the trip for today's dedication and they are thrilled to mark this nearly 25 year civic and cultural relationship with Seattle. Bravi tutti!
